TPG Teaser

Here's a little teaser for The Perfect Game...  enjoy!

He fiddled with his baseball cap before putting it back on his head and tucking his dark hair underneath. I felt almost mesmerized as he ran his fingers absentmindedly across the white stitching of our school’s initials. I found myself noticing the way his dark blue shirt fit snugly against the muscles in his arms and shoulders. I hated how good looking he was.

He smiled and I swear part of my heart melted right then and there at the sight of his dimples.

I totally suck.

I tried to walk toward Melissa, who was eyeing me with piqued curiosity from across the room, but he blocked my path with his annoyingly perfect body. I quickly moved to the right, but he hopped to his left. I took another step to the left and he quickly moved too.

“What do you want, Jack?” the sass in my voice taking us both by surprise.

“Are you always this hostile?” he teased before forcing his dimples to reappear and my body to flush with heat.

“Only to guys like you,” I responded, my tone clearly annoyed.

“So tell me, kitten, what’s a guy like me?”

“Not worth my time.” I shoved my tray into his gut and when he let out an ooof, I scurried past him.

“You’ll come around,” he shouted.

Don’t hold your breath.”

    Tagline for The Perfect Game

sometimes life gets ugly before it gets beautiful....

This book is going to be a nice ride people. Not nice, in the simple, sweet, easy way of my other books. It's a MATURE YA book, with crude language, sexual situations, etc. It's rougher around the edges and hopefully you'll all freaking LOVE it!

I'm obsessed with this story- it consumes my waking (and sleeping) thoughts. I can't write it quick enough!  :)

Thanks so much! Keep the good reviews coming!!!!!  :)  Back to writing....

    What i'm doing

You know, besides taking pictures of my dogs mouth and sending them to the vet because she totally has cancer and we don't know what to do.  :(  And trying to keep my teenager occupied because it's summer and he's BORED like ALL.THE.TIME.

I am trying to write. And I am actually writing.

For a little while there, I was working on Before the Dreams. I have a third of it written.

But then... see... here's where I need to check myself into a psych ward or something- I abandoned it.

    NOT FOREVER!

It's just that I can't stop writing Leap of Faith- which now has a new name. I'm calling it "The Perfect Game" for now. Cause the main guy is a baseball player and well, I like the title and it's also a baseball phrase.  So yeah.

I can't stop writing it. And it's exciting because it's the first book i'm writing in the FIRST person!  So it's so different to write it. It's not necessarily easier- but it's different. I'm loving it.  And if i've learned anything when it comes to my writing, it's that when a certain book is calling me, that's who I have to pay attention to. Because once that calling is gone, it doesn't come back just because I want it too.

So i'm writing. It might not be what you were hoping I was working on, but at least it's something. Hang in there- I really am trying to get 2 books out by the end of this year. EEEEEK!  I'm sure I just jinxed myself. LOL

As always, thanks for the support. Thanks for telling your friends to buy and read my books. Wait, you haven't done that yet? That's just sad. All the cool kids are spreading the word about my books. Don't you wanna be a cool kid?  haha..

Have a great 4th of July!  Be safe and have fun!  Read a book. Fall in love. Marry a fictional character!   :)
